A turntable animation is a short video that spins a product through a full 360 degree turn so the viewer sees every side. In jewelry it is the standard way to show a piece in the round, because it reveals the profile, the gallery, and how light moves across the stones.
In other words, it is the piece on a slow spinning stand, filmed all the way around, so nothing about the design stays hidden behind the front view.
How it is built
The camera and lighting stay fixed while the model rotates a full circle, one small step per frame. Play those frames back and the piece turns smoothly against an unchanging background.
Because every frame is a separate render, a turntable costs many times what a still image costs in machine time. That is what render farm capacity is for.
