The problem

Sketches do not close commissions

A client staring at a pencil sketch has to imagine the final piece, and imagination creates doubt. Doubt stalls deposits and invites endless changes after casting, when changes cost real money.

The fix

Approve the render, then cast once

Send us your sketch or CAD. Your client approves a photoreal image of their exact piece, stone and metal included. Changes happen on screen where they are cheap, not on the bench.

Renders changed my close rate on custom work. Clients say yes in the first meeting because they can finally see it. Rework after casting basically stopped.

Straight answers

What you are probably about to ask.

01

My client wants to see it in their own stone.

Stone swaps come off the same model: carat sizes, cuts, and colors. Show a 1, 1.5, and 2 carat center in the same setting in one sitting and let the client choose in front of you.

02

I sketch. I do not have a CAD file.

Send the sketch or a photo. CAD modeling starts at $60 per model, and the full custom design service, which covers two concept directions, the production CAD, and a photoreal render for approval, starts at $120.

03

Will my client know the work was outsourced?

No. We work white-label. Many studios present our sketches, CAD, and renders under their own brand, and we stay invisible to your customer. Full rights, including the CAD file, transfer to you on final payment.

04

The client meeting is this week.

Standard render turnaround is 24 to 48 hours per piece. Concept sketches for a new design take 2 to 3 days, with CAD and render another 3 to 4. Rush timelines exist for a reason. Tell us the meeting date.

Questions

How long does a custom design take?

Concept sketches arrive in 2 to 3 days. After you choose a direction, CAD and render take another 3 to 4 days. Rush timelines are available.

How is this different from standard 3D rendering?

Standard renders are built for product grids and catalogs. Photorealistic renders get hand-tuned lighting, deeper stone detail, and larger output sizes for hero placements, ads, and print.

What do you need to start a CAD model?

A sketch, a photo, or a reference piece plus target stone sizes and metal. Rough sketches are fine. We confirm proportions with you before detailing.
