What is the best format for jewelry rendering?
For rendering we prefer 3DM or STEP because they carry clean surfaces, and we also accept STL and OBJ. The checker shows the trade-offs for each so you can pick the safest one for your case.
Can you render from an STL file?
Yes. STL is a render-ready mesh, and it prints well too. What it is not is editable CAD, so if the design still needs changes, send the 3DM or STEP as well. The checker flags this.
Do I need to convert my file first?
Often not. We handle common conversions in-house. The checker tells you when a conversion is worth doing before sending and when it is safe to leave to us.
