In short

Jewelry CAD Modeling, defined.

Jewelry CAD modeling builds the 3D file your production line runs on. We model rings, earrings, pendants, and bracelets in Rhino and Matrix, checked for printability and casting.

Every model ships with a stone map, metal weight estimate, and wall thickness check. Your setter and caster get answers, not surprises.

What you get

Every order ships with all of this.

Not an upsell menu. This is the standard scope, and it is the same scope whether you order one piece or two hundred.

Drag the handle.

An illustration of the difference light makes: the same piece, drained flat on the left, finished on the right. The real work is on the portfolio, file by file.

How this one runs

Four steps, in order.

  1. 01

    Brief and reference

A sketch, a photo, or a piece you already sell, plus finger size, stone sizes, and the metal you intend to cast in. Rough sketches are fine.

  2. 02

    Block model, proportions agreed

We build the mass first and confirm proportions with you before any detailing. Fixing a shank profile here costs nothing; fixing it after setting is a re-model.

  3. 03

    Detailing and production checks

Prong geometry, pave seats, wall thickness, and shrinkage allowance. If your caster has house rules, send them and we model to those.

  4. 04

    Files your caster can run

3DM and STL, a stone map with sizes and counts, a metal weight estimate, and one render preview included with the model.

Questions

Jewelry CAD Modeling FAQs.

Every question we get asked →
What do you need to start a CAD model?

A sketch, a photo, or a reference piece plus target stone sizes and metal. Rough sketches are fine. We confirm proportions with you before detailing.

Will the file actually cast?

Yes. We check wall thickness, prong strength, and shrinkage allowance for casting. If your caster has house rules, send them and we model to those.

Which software do you use?

Rhino and Matrix for modeling, with ZBrush for organic and sculptural details. You receive standard 3DM and STL files that open anywhere.

Can you copy a piece from photos?

We can model from clear photos of a piece you own or have rights to. We do not copy other designers' protected work.
